Today I sat through my first set of panels at Con today. This has been a very enlightening couple of days. I learned, as I sat through the panels, that DC and Marvel have an interesting relationship. All the bigwigs at Marvel started at DC. And all the bigwigs at DC will soon work at Marvel. One Marvel exec told us that while he was working at DC he got a phone call from Marvel that literally said "Is this a private line?" To which he responded, "Give me five minutes."
I also got to see a DC fan get his day ruined. Sitting in the panel of the guy who writes Green Lantern, waiting for the following Marvel panel, Jeff Johns gave away a spoiler (one of many he gave away) about two brutal murders at the end of the first Blackest Knight comic. A HUGE DC fanboy next to me (who also smelled HORRID) apparently hadn't read the comic yet as he let out quite the suprise gasp. So far, I'm LOVING Con!
